A Stitch in Time. “God save the King – F**k Hitler!”

The author’s father, Major A T Casdagli 1941-1945, was a prisoner of war on Crete. He ran a school of embroidery of more than 40 officers during this time and samples of his work in this narrative illustrate some of his thoughts and feelings and were the major source of his strength in surviving this four year ordeal. The title of this book takes its name from the morse coded messages that form part of the design in ATC’s first embroidery.
