No date of publication, probably 1970s. Book clean and whole, some moisture marking to back cover and small chips to front.

Spine of dw faded, chipped at top and with insect damage at bottom.

Recently rebound in black buckram with gilt titles to the spine and new end papers. The new binding is not sympathetic to the age of the book but has had the benefit of preserving the contents very well. Contemporary owner’s name to the title page and some notes to the back fep dated June 1816.

In excellent condition with full colour photographs

Binding is in poor condition. Both boards are off and bundles are loose. A good candidate for re-binding. Ink note to the blank pg after the index, on the origin of the word mews. Two names to the paste down fep. Page edges untrimmed. All pages of the book are however in good condition.

Author’s insciption and signature on half-title page. Pages browned at edges. Water damage to top corner of front board and endpaper. DW has faded spine and small chips top and bottom.
