Contains numerous colour plates. Text and binding in clean strong condition. Spine of dw quite worn, with some open and closed tears. Edges of DW also shows some wear and light scuff marks to the front.
Slight discolouration on front board. Minor marking on back panel of DW.
Their Natural History and Conservation. Minor foxing to front end page, sunning to top and bottom edge of front cover. Dust jacket in fair condition with some creasing to edges. Ex library with Ascension Island school stamp to end papers.
Includes pull-out map with foxing to fep’s.
Ink inscription on fep.
Slight fading to edges of boards. DW has scuffing,and chipping to top and bottom edges.

Red cloth covers in firm condition displaying edge wear and staining.The spine is cracked along the inside edge from last quarter of book and is inscribed with a classification number on the lower end. Ex-library copy with the usual stamps and paste-ins. Former bookseller’s label on inside front cover. No publication date indicated, generally presumed mid 1930s. Errata slip attached.

Incomplete set : Volumes 1 & 2 only. Ex libris of Newcastle Government School to the front fep’s. Some foxing noted, especially to the first few and last few pages. School label fixed to the front boards of both books. Contains several colour plates and maps. One closed and one open tear to the fold-out map in volume 1.
3 volumes, published 1887-1889. Ex-library copies, all vols have stamps on prelims and title pages, pockets on front endpapers. Binding of vols.1and 2 tight, all covers show bumping and wear. Vol. 1 has water damage to fore edges of front and back covers with resultant staining to front edge of first 16 pages and map page (but not to map itself), and to front edges of plates at back of book. Slight foxing at beginning and end of text but rest clean. Vol.2 has minimal foxing on prelims and index. Index page is torn with piece missing but no loss of text. Vol. 3 has minimal foxing on prelims and last few pages.of text. Front endpapers torn at hinge. Weight of set will incur extra postage.
