Numerous black and white illustrations throughout. Text is clean and clear. Slight water damage to front board and front of DW and the fore edges of the first few pages. Boards show some wear along the edges. DW shows significant wear, scuffing, chipping and a closed tear to the back with some losses to the top of spine area..
Book has slight wear to edges and corners of boards. DW has small chips and creases to top and bottom edges, and scuffing to folds. Top edge of dw spine repaired on inside with pasted on paper.
Fishmothing to cover. Sunned spine. Some foxing.
Dust jacket in poor condition with part of spine missing. Sporadic foxing to end papers.
Previous owner inscription to free end paper. Slight scuffing to cover and back cover. Good condition

Some foxing to parts of the text, especially to the endpapers and the edges. Boards show general wear and slight insect damage. DW has some foxing, soiling, age toning and significant losses.
Binding is firm but worn, with some discolouration to the spine. Tropical worm damage,this consists mainly of small holes, about 8 to a page with about 1-2 mm diameter, they have the apperance of small ink spots. Cloth binding with embossed title.
Frayed head and tail of spine. Bumped corners teacup stain on front cover, with two lines of staining . Pencil marginalia, and foxing
Some staining to fore edges of pages and scuffing of covers.
Very slight edge wear to boards; dw scuffed with chips along top edge and cracks at back fold.
