The first voyage is complete with an uncoloured frontis, two uncoloured plates and nine fine hand-coloured plates including the expurgated plate of the ‘Hottentot’ woman. Sold together with the two volume Second Voyage, complete with twenty-two plates including five folding, as called for. Published in 1796. First Voyage bound in full calf with a decorative ship device repeated on the spine. Gilt edges all round. The two volumes of the Second Voyage in paper covered boards with a marbled leather effect. Page edges dyed red.
